DuPont Polyimide Insulating Film is a high-performance polymer film that maintains stable mechanical and electrical properties over an extremely wide temperature range, from cryogenic conditions up to 400 °C. With very high dielectric strength at minimal thickness, polyimide film is the standard choice for coil insulation, flexible printed circuits and components requiring insulation in tight spaces.

Polyimide film absorbs some moisture; for laminating or heat-pressing applications, dry the film at 120–150 °C before processing to prevent blistering. Use sharp blades when die-cutting or slitting so the edges do not crack. Keep the surface clean when applying adhesive or bonding layers to ensure good adhesion.
If you need a tape rather than plain film, choose a polyimide film with silicone adhesive to retain the heat resistance of the entire system.
